Students are more than welcome to use Student Senate members as a resource for both relaying their ideas across campus and for assistance in projects that benefit the entire student body. Senate members can also help answer any questions that a student may have about Marietta, or find someone who knows the answer. How does Student Senate make a difference/stand for students? Basically how do they function as the voices of the campus? It is the responsibility of all Senate members to gain input from those that they represent. This could mean communicating with classmates, one’s own Greek chapter, commuter students, and many other groups. With this information, Senate adopts any number of strategies necessary to address issues that have been discovered. This can range from the creation of a committee for detailed investigation to one-on-one meetings with the necessary college personnel.
