How can the earthquakes in Chile stop so many people dying?
To begin with, give people the correct information on time! This last earthquake, more people died after the earthquake due to the unexpected tsunami as the authorities (Onemi, Shoa) did NOT warn people that it was coming. Another thing they could do is send to jail the people who build buildings using the wrong materials and charging people for better quality stuff. Those thieves who built those buildings which collapsed used poor quality stuff and materials and that’s why people died in them and not their neighbours. More law enforcing would stop people from dying. So those 2 things will actually prevent more deaths next time.
