Two pilot Healthcare Technology Co-operatives (HTCs), funded as part of NIHR invention for innovation (i4i) programme are NHS-led virtual organisations bringing together patients, carers, academics and clinicians to work in partnership with industry to catalyse the development of healthcare technology products. The Bowel Function HTC hosted at Barts and The London NHS Trust covers the diagnosis, treatment and management of bowel disorders and Devices for Dignity HTC (D4D) hosted at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust develops patient-centred devices in Urinary Incontinence, Assistive Technologies and Renal Dialysis. Discussion will centre on how HTCs can collaborate to achieve their aims.
