How can vegans get vitamin B12?
Yeast extracts contain vitamin B12 and some soya milks, cereals and spreads are fortified with B12. You need at least 2 micrograms ( µg or mcg) a day. To get it, you need to eat B12 fortified foods 2 or 3 times a day, take a daily B12 supplement providing 5 to 10 µg, or take a weekly B12 supplement providing 2000 µg.
