you cant sell something you dont own and if you dont have the title you dont own the car (legally) to get the title go to who ever owned the car before you and ask politly if you may have it

go to the title office with the VIN numbers off the door or the window or the engine and get a re title and then sell it or part it out a little at a time then cut it up and then call a scrapper that how to get rid of a stolen car

You can apply for a lost title IF you had one, the registration is usually not required to sell a car. The only other way is to cut it up and sell it for scrap steel, unless the car is no longer road legal and the intended buyer is looking for parts, then it would depend on the state where you live. Best bet contact your local DMV. IF there is a title that was ever in your name for the car, you can also have the person go to the DMV with you and transfer it there on the spot. People lose titles all the time, if you had one, it is your car and there are records of it being in your name.
