How can you tell if a ferret is pregnant?
Like humans every pregnancy is different and with the ferrets it is the same, this is how we knew our little Gill ferret was pregnant, first of all her Vulva went down took just under a week after mating. Then we noticed she was more tired and she also started carrying my sons little teddy around and cleaning it, so this was her mothering instincts. Then we noticed her snatching food off us, like she’d never been fed. About three weeks after mating she started nibbling her nipples and the fir on her tummy has almost been nibbled off by herself. Her nipples are more pronounced also. Her tummy is much larger and heavier. This are the signs of pregnancy in our female ferret. lilM.
