How come Chile military wear WW2 German style uniforms and helmets?
When the Chilean army was organized during the the nineteen century take as model the Prussian army (German)from the organization, the discipline and also the uniform. Anyway, the Prussian style uniform used by the Chilean army is only used in formal event, such parades and other and they use camouflage uniforms for regular or combat activities. The Chilean army is the best organized and most modern in south America, matching whit NATO standards. The old fashion uniform is part of the traditions and is very silly to think that they have to change the uniform because it resemble to the WWII German uniform.
