How come i can lift 25lbs wrist curl but not arm curl?
because with the wrist curl, the “lever” is MUCH shorter… it’s just the distance between your hand and your wrist – a couple inches at most. For bicep curl, it’s the entire length of your arm… from your hand to your elbow… probably about 18 inches. Simple physics show that to lift something you want the shortest possible lever between the item you want lifted and the fulcrum, and the longest possible lever between the lifting force and the fulcrum. Imagine a teeter totter… a father and his 6 year old daughter are on it together. If he sits at the end of the teeter totter, he will never get off the ground… but if he sits all the way up as close as he can to the center of the teeter totter, then she will probably lift him. Same concept applies with bicep curl vs.
