How common are dyslexia and other similar language based learning difficulties?
According to the The International Dyslexia Association, it is estimated that between 15-20% of the population have some symptoms of dyslexia. Dyslexia occurs in people of all ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and intellectual levels. Although males may be more frequently diagnosed, the condition appears to affect both genders equally.
