How could the Genealogy of Jesus in Matthews Birth Narrative be correct?
Christianity was devised by men to control the masses by perpetrating a false doctrine about a regular man. Jesus was a great man but not any more to son of God than you or I. He was made divine by (not so) clever bishops who wanted to create a religion with as wide an appeal as possible, hence taking much from many Pagan & dualistic religions to form Christianity. It’s not worth going into a discussion about this because the Bible quotes will be numerous but the reasoned rationale or even the actual history of the religion will be absent. The Christian god derived from Greek mythology, stone age superstition and Jewish speculation about the formation of creation. And remember Genesis tells us that there is more than one God which Christianity does not successfully explain. Christianity was and is about going to church to pay the collection. It used to be tithes or taxes when church and state were one but now it just keeps the preachers in big houses and 4×4 jeeps, peeps…
