How dangerous is a cesarean?
Regardless to what everyone else says, there are serious risks with a c-section. It is all great that some of the people on here have not experienced something catastrophic, but for every one of them, there is another person out there that has experienced the risks of cesarean. There are physical and emotional risks. What many people fail to see is that there are risks with ANY surgery, and that is what a c-section is, major abdominal surgery. There are risks to c-sections compared to vaginal births. There is increased risk in infection, hemorrhage, infertility, hysterectomy, to name a few.
