How deep does the laser penetrate into the skin?
The depth of penetration will be dependant on the laser’s wavelength. The longer the wavelength, the deeper the penetration into the skin. Some of our lasers go as deep as the dermis, which is where the collagen that must be remodeled to reduce lines and wrinkles is found. Some devices that are not lasers technically, such as infrared and radiofrequency, penetrate to a greater depth, even to the fat Laser-Assisted Liposuction can be used to remove fat and tighten the overlying skin.
