How deep is the ocean in the deepest part?

0

Part of the Mariana Trench was the deepest part in 1951 at 10,924 meters (6.78 miles). It’s as deep as it is as it’s located on a plate boundary. It’s quite controversial at the moment though as it’s said to be 11,033 meters deep, but this was not officially recorded and so it still remains questioned, but the vast majority of up to date text books use 6.78 miles. As you can imagine, the things that live down there are quite ugly bugly.
