How Did Blue Man Group Make Their instruments?
Blue Man Group Instruments Blue Man Group is a series of theatrical pieces by Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton, and Chris Wink, that perform all over the world. Blue Man Group: Tubes, their first full-length show, opened off-Broadway at the Astor Place Theater in 1991. Tubes featured a collection of sliding PVC pipes that when drummed on and resized, create different pitches. The Blue Man Group has gone on to create many other one-of-a-kind instruments including The Gyro Shot, the Shaker Gong, and Sword Airpoles. The Materials Most instruments featured in Blue Man Group are made with materials you could find at a hardware store, like Home Depot. The tubes were made mostly of PVC pipes organized and drummed on in order to create specific sounds.
