How did Dalton, Thomson, Rutherford, and Bohr contribute to the scientific model of the atom?

Dalton was the man who opened the eyes of men to the concept of atoms (he wasn’t the first to consider them as the fundaments of matter); Thomson discovered the electron, Rutherford and his teams discovered the proton then neutron; Bohr is credited for having developed the concept of orbitals and a solar system-like arrangement of the electrons around the nucleus (but of course any person could think of that, it’s just common sense).
