How Did George Washington Shape the Presidency and the Nation?
As November’s presidential election draws near, it is appropriate to ponder the leadership characteristics that make a great president. Through the next few weeks we will examine some of the characteristics that Washington exemplified as identified by Mount Vernon’s Executive Director Jim Rees in his book, George Washington’s Leadership Lessons. Each week one or two characteristics will be listed in the blog. Readers are encouraged to “comment” in what ways they perceive Washington demonstrated these characteristics.
