How did hippies or the counterculture effect the Democrat party?
Hippies were too busy getting high to worry about the party in power. And the whole counterculture group was playing naked in the grass and throwing pots to sell at fairs. Sorry to disillusion y’all but most Democrats were blue collar, union workers, who love their country and want a fair shake for everyone. Not just the upper classes either, but the guys who sweat for a living, and the women who stand on their feet all day. So their kids could go to college and get called elites by the Republicans of today.
