How did industrial revolution lead to imperialism?

0

Imperialism existed long before the industrial revolution, in countries such a China, Japan, and even Russia, of course they’d have to have some sort of industrial gain beforehand, but not necessarily much . Great Britain had quite a lot of power in the industrial revolution, for a reason such as their colonies. Having power over other populations gave them the choice to exploit them for the better of their economy. As more countries practiced imperialism, there was a greater strain to keep a power balance. Colonies promoted Social Darwinism, Economical power, and even Nationalism.
