In grade 3, Jim Carrey was in detention after school with his friend Clarke LaPrairie. While the teacher was gone, the two started playing tag. Jim stopped in front of a desk, but Clarke did not notice and bumped into him, knocking him over, and therefore chipping his infamous tooth.
