How did the grim reaper begin?

0

The Grim Reaper started in Medieval England when the Bubonic Plague was at a high. People who had the plague used to dress in hooded robes and harvest crops until they died, this is where the idea of the Grim Reaper comes from as he holds the pick axey thing (can’t remember what it’s called) and he wears the heavy, black robe. And as people were underfed at that time, particularly slaves who were more likely to catch the disease than the richer folk, that’s where the idea of the Grim Reaper being a skeleton comes from. In affect, I guess you could be a Grim Reaper for a day, as long as you went to a doctor ASAP to get rid of the plague. Hope I helped!
