How did wwii affect the people of japan?
Germany & Japan had to live their daily lives under the strain of constant US/Allied aerial bombardment from B-29 Superfortress Bombers, B-17 Flying Fortress’s, B-26 Marauders, B-25 Mitchells, B-24 Liberators, etc. They had to live with food rationing, medical, educational, transportation, fuel for cars, heating fuel, personal hygiene shortages, etc. Of all the main combatant countries during WWII, the United States was the only country not suffering under enemy aerial bombardment (with the minor exceptions of Brookings, Oregon, parts of Alaska, and Santa Barbara, California which were either bombed or shelled by Japanese Submarines, and Alaska which was partially occupied by Japanese troops).
