How difficult is it to find a part-time job in Leicester? Also, would I be able to cover my living expenses with it while studying as an international student?

Depends on your skill set to be honest. If you are looking for a general job which will take on those with little experience (I.e bar staff, agency, cleaner) etc then expect approx £400-£600. To earn around £1000 on part time basis is almost impossible in any of the jobs above. As I say dependant on skill set you have. If you have sales skills you could try sales commission based that would be possible. Try to search jobs here https://uk.jobsora.com/jobs-leicester good job board.

Students on student visa are only allowed to work part time jobs for a maximum of 20 hours per week in semester time and 40 hours per week during the semester breaks.

The part time jobs don’t pay good money and the jobs tends to be working in supermarkets, food stores and may be some office work. However, for international students the competition will be more and as a result good jobs may always go to local students.

The income you get is not enough to cover your living expenses like room and food etc.
