How do 3-toed sloths survive predators given their speed disadvantage?

Sloths are camouflaged by their moss-covered sides and ridiculously slow movement. Most predators just don’t notice them. I’d imagine they also make for poor prey. Sloths aren’t completely defenseless–their fierce claws are a bit intimidating, even when waved slowly. In addition, they don’t offer especially large nutritional value to a meat-eater. Up to 2/3 of a sloth’s weight is its stomach contents (partially digested leaves), and they have about a quarter the muscle mass typical for animals their size.
