At 8 weeks old he is still very young so be patient with his house training. Keep him in a crate that is just big enough for him to turn around in. Dogs do not like to potty in their bedroom so do not give him a crate that is big enough for him to pee in one corner and sleep in the next corner. He must stay in his crate when you are gone from the house or asleep at night. As soon as you get up, leash him and take him out for potty unless you have a fenced in yard, and do not come back in until he has gone potty. This may take awhile, but make sure he goes potty before you bring him back inside. Everytime you come home, take him out for potty. Right after he eats take him out for potty. Last thing before bedtime take him out for potty. Soon he will know he needs to go outside to potty. Do not use pee pads inside your house or he will just get confused and he won’t want to pee outside anymore. Make sure to leave the door open to his crate while you are at home.
