How do car cover manufacturers make a custom fit car cover?
First, the car cover manufacturer sends a trained pattern designer to measure a vehicle to create a base pattern for the custom cover pattern. The designer will then make a rough pattern and try the cover on the vehicle. Using the rough pattern, the pattern designer will make any necessary changes to ensure a glove-like fit. Your custom fit cover is then made using computer-controlled equipment for an exact “cut” for every year, make, model and sub-model.
