How do caregivers from different ethnic groups perceive head start food and nutrition services?
Abstract: Caregivers from African American, Latino, Vietnamese, and European American backgrounds who accompanied a child to initial enrollment in Head Start were interviewed in English, Spanish, or Vietnamese to assess perceptions of food and nutrition services at Head Start and related food issues at home. Most caregivers, regardless of ethnic background, highly valued multicultural food experiences and nutrition education for their children through the program.
