How do Clownfish Reproduce?
A Clownfish is a salt water fish that became very popular with the release of Pixar’s Finding Nemo. The bright orange and white striped fish can grow to be 5 inches long. Male clownfish have a set of courting rituals they do to attract mates, females lay their eggs on coral or in a sea anemone that serves as their home. The male fish is the one who builds the nest to protect the eggs and the male will chase the female into the nest so she releases the eggs. Clownfish are hermaphrodites and are male when they are young, and only turn female when they mature. You can find more information here: http://www.tol.tolweb.org/treehouses/?tr…
