How do elephants adapt to their habitat?
In South Africa you can find elephants living in a jungle situation (Knysna elephants), living in the grasslands such as in the Kruger National Park (this would be their “normal” habitat and even some living in the desert in Namibia (Namib elephants). The knsyna elephants adapted due to being hunted a long time ago and I can assure you they are very good at moving silently through heavy bush and trees. Thw Namib elephants have adapted to living along the Okavango River and when this runs dry they still manage to survive. So that shows how an elephant has a a remarkable ability to adapt to thier ienvironment whether due to danger (hunted) or drought like conditions.
