How do enable the touchpad on my Packard Bell EasyNote LJ61 Series?

1

Problem The touchpad of the EasyNote LJ61 series notebooks stopped functioning. Details The touchpad on these models can be disabled by pressing the lock/unlock touchpad button above the keyboard. When this is done, the ‘hand in the square’ symbol will briefly appear on screen. This symbol only appears briefly, so it very well possible that when you accidentally press the lock button of the touchpad you will not notice this symbol. Solution Press the touchpad lock/unlock button (above the key) on the media bar to re-enable the touchpad.
