How Do I Adjust the Rear Adjusters on a Whirlpool Washer?
Your Whirlpool washer uses self-adjusting rear feet to accommodate slight differences in your floor over time. The weight of a washer coupled with the vibrations cause the floor underneath to settle. When you notice the washer does not sit firmly on the floor, often all that is necessary is to adjust the rear adjusters on your Whirlpool washer. The rear adjusters automatically compensate for the slight differences when you raise the washer to reset them. Stand in front of the washer. Place your hands on the top rear corners of each side of the washer. Lift up on the rear of the washer. Tilt it toward you until the rear legs are 4 inches from the floor. The legs make a clicking sound as you lift the washer. Lower the washer slowly back down to the floor. The rear adjusters adjust themselves as you place the washer back down.
