To apply for a school place (not independent) in Cambridgeshire you will need to do the following: a) If you are requesting a place for your child to attend primary or secondary school for the very first time then you will need to fill in the form that accompanies the First Steps or Next Steps booklet or apply online at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions Please note the deadline for applying for secondary school for September 2011 was 31 October 2010 and late applications may only be made on paper. The deadline for applying for primary, infant, junior or middle schools for September 2011 was 15 January 2011. Late applications may only be made on paper. b) If you are applying for any other year group or for placement throughout the school year you will need to complete the In-Year application form.
