How do I be less boring and more jovial?
It’s not about your tone of voice, nor how “jovial” you are — it’s about the content of your conversation. Boring people have nothing new to say, nor any new ideas to discuss, so they talk about “things” or worse yet, other people. (Talking about the lives and loves of celebrities is, IMO, especially boring). Stop watching so-called “entertainment” shows on TV and read some newspapers and magazines; watch some current events shows — interesting things are happening all around us.
