How do I become a music teacher? What qualifications would I need?

You need decent (if England or Wales) G.C.S.E.s including English, Mathematics and at least one Science, then you need good AS and A2 Levels to get you on to a Music degree of some kind, even Music Technology works nowadays. You need a good pass (at least a second) from a decent University and then you need to get on a P.G.C.E. course at a respected Education specialist (The Institute of Education part of the University of London is the very best in Europe) or get in touch with a designated Training school and get on to their Graduate Training Programme and then hey presto you are a teacher. Get on the Teacher Training Agency website and check the various ways for yourself.
