How do I become a part of the national American Red Cross nurses response team?
The American Red Cross has developed a program of preparedness training for individuals who wish to assist as Red Cross volunteers on national disaster relief operations such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, forest fires or earthquakes. Training includes first being active as a local Disaster Action Team member. Local Red Cross training is required and provided free of charge. Courses such as Introduction to Disaster Services, Overview of Disaster Health Services and Disaster Health Services Simulation are just a few examples of the classes available to you.
