How do I become a trained American Red Cross Volunteer?

• 1) Must be age 18+ • 2) Hold a valid drivers license • 3) Pass background check • 4) Take 3 disaster training courses. You can start by taking Intro to Disaster online www.northcentraliaredcross.org and take Mass Care and Shelter Operations here at the office. (All volunteers abide by the Red Cross Code of Conduct, must be able to live/work in adverse conditions for a short time, and be flexible!) These steps are required to be deployed for National Disasters and to assist on local DATeams. This does not necessarily apply if you are just looking to volunteer for office help, PR events, maintence tasks or other general duties. Must be in good standing and have a desire to help us fulfill the Mission of the American Red Cross.
