The requirements to be an animal shelter vet are the same as being any kind of vet. You will need a college degree in a science field, preferably animal sciences. You will need to have exceptionable grades in math and chemistry and biology from a good university. You will then have to apply to vet school. Each vet school may have different requirements for admission, but they usually are the same as the requirements as medical school (calculus, chemistry, biology, microbiology, organic chemistry, etc). Vet school is pretty difficult to get into. You will then have to attend 4 years of vet school. It is not an easy path. If you google vet programs I am sure you can get more information.
