The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for granting authorization to persons to print the hazardous waste manifest form. The procedures for becoming an authorized manifest printer and the standards that printers must meet in printing the manifest forms are found in Section 262.21 of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (40 CFR 262.21). EPA maintains a manifest registry website that includes instructions for preparing application materials to become a registered manifest printer, and a “frequent questions” file.
