How do I build a capacitor?

The instructions below are very similar to how distribution capacitors are made at a factory. This should take you less than an hour with common household materials. The hardest part will be placing the saran wrap without it sticking to itself. 1) Take two 4′ long sheets of aluminum foil and three longer sheets of saran wrap. 2) Lay down one sheet of saran wrap 3) Lay one sheet of aluminum foil on top, but slide it to one side so about 1.5″ sticks out to one side. 4) Lay down the second sheet of saran wrap aligned exactly on top of the first sheet of saran wrap. 5) Lay down the second sheet of aluminum foil, but this time have 1.5″ hang over the opposite side of the saran wrap 6) Lay down the third sheet of saran wrap aligned exactly on top of the other two sheets of saran wrap. 7) If you did this right, you now have two separate capacitor “plates” that are separated by saran wrap. 8) Roll the entire group of sheets on a long tube. This assembly is 3″ wider than the saran wrap and alum
