A simple workbench to build for your garage is one made from a door and 2 small bookcases. First determine the height that’s comfortable for you to work at without having to bend over too much. Then go to you local homebuilding stores and superstores like Home Depot and Walmart to buy your materials. Buy one interior door either painted or unfinished and 2 small bookcases that are the height you determined was right for your workbench. Position each end of the door on one of the bookcases and you have a sturdy, functional workbench. The shelves on the bookcases can be used for additional storage.
