Gift Cards/eGift Cards/Online Gift Certificates must be saved to your account before you can redeem them to purchase NOOKbooks, single issue NOOKmagazines, or single issue NOOKnewspapers. Once saved, they will be automatically applied to your NOOK Book purchases. Any available gift card balance will be redeemed first. Your default credit card will be charged for the remaining balance, if any. A default credit card is still required for NOOK Book purchases, even if the funds on your Gift Cards and/or Online Gift Certificates cover the total amount purchased.
