You could crate train him. Make him sleep there at night. But if you can poop her out before bed. The only thing I don’t like about crate training with a young child in the house. Is that the dog sometimes become protective of there crate, and if your daughter trys to monkey around by the crate he my nip her. This comes from experience. Your dogs still young enuff to train to sleep on a dog bed. It’s just a matter of staying on top of it, make sure he’s tired at bed time. And keep putting her back on the bed when she gets off. It may take a while.

create training is not a good idea because if you leave your dog down stairs in a create with no one down there for one night he might get stressed out for the first two or three nights you should have him sleep with you. If you have had him for a few weeks you could try create training but that is just more work if you don’t want to do that extra work there is a toy called the kong that you fill in with meat treats what ever your dog likes then get him a nice bed and lay with him when it is a few minutes before you go to bed.

Get it a proper dog bed. My previous dog loved the BarksBar Snuggly Sleeper reviewed by https://petslifeguide.com/best-dog-bed-for-labrador-retriever/. bed because he liked a bed with sides to snuggle into / lie over. I found it washed really well and it still looks like new – he wasn’t a dog bed chewer. For travelling he also liked Brinkmann Pet Premium Orthopedic Pet Bed.

I think, that the best solution is to walk and play more with him, in the evening and don’t let him play active games before going to sleep. Possibly, it is so active and restless because of some problems with health or maybe there is something that bothers him. Our puppy behaved strangely when he had a toothache. The Veterinary advised us to give him a dog dental water additive to keep his teeth clean and healthy. If you have ever tried to brush a dog’s teeth, you know that it is not a routine that sets the tail wagging. But this water is a perfect solution for your pet.
