How do I care for an indoor ficus plant?
Provide proper care to your indoor ficus tree to help it thrive year round. Ficus trees often lose leaves when initially brought indoors or when the environment changes in any way. For instance, in the winter your ficus tree may experience a dryer climate which may result in up to 20-percent loss of foliage. After a brief time of adjustment, the ficus tree should stabilize. Ficus trees require sun and do best near a sunny window. Put your ficus tree in the brightest spot in the home or office. Water more often ficus trees exposed to a lot of light; water your ficus less when it receives less light. Keep it moist, but do not allow the soil to become waterlogged. Ficus tree roots grow quickly. Don’t allow your ficus to become root bound.
