If your GMC Sonoma smells like antifreeze when warm air is turned on inside the car, you probably have a bad heater core. Heater cores warm air for the interior. They look like small radiators. Your heater core could have a leaking hose or a small hole.Remove Old Heater CoreIn the GMC Sonoma, the heater core is in the middle of the dashboard, near the floorboards. To get to it, some of the plastic fascia must be removed. The fascia is held in place with screws and wire clips. Remove the screws first, then pop the wire clips. Slide the fascia out, and locate the rectangular heater core housed beneath it. Check all the lines leading into the heater core for leaks, and repeat the process for the lines leading to the firewall on the inside of the engine compartment. If any lines have leaks, unbolt the line from the heater core and replace it; however, if the leak seems to be on the core itself, it will need replaced completely. Unbolt the hoses connected to the heater core, and disconnect
