How do I change the battery in a Genuine Buddy 125 scooter?

Ken is correct about the battery location – it’s in the middle of the floorboard. It takes a 12V/7Ah battery, which is pretty common. You should be able to order a replacement from your local Genuine dealer, or directly from ScooterWorks here: http://www.scooterworks.com/Batt… You can install a larger battery but you will need to modify your case to fit it. The easiest way to do this is to remove the battery holder in the floorboard so that you have more vertical space (and a little more horizontal space). You will need to find another way to secure the larger battery, of course. Your only constraint is that it be the same voltage (12V). There is no upper limit on amp hours – the more, the better.
