How Do I Change The Clutch Master Cylinder On A 98 Dodge Dakota?
I also have a 98 Dakota with clutch problems. I’m hearing from others to replace the assembly (master cylinder and slave cylinder) with an OEM unit from Dodge. It comes as a unit pre-bled and ready to bolt on with no bleeding required. I’m sure they designed it this way to sell more of their OEM units and eliminate the aftermarket boys. (: Others have successfully done it with aftermarket parts but it seems to be quite time consuming and frustrating. Extensive, careful bleeding of the master cylinder and slave cylinders are a must and then no positive results are guaranteed. GOOD LUCK!
