no special tools required just have to be willing to get coverd in fluid you have to remove the trans pan thats where the filter is located the best sugestion is to go to AAMCO they are pros and will charge you a fair rate to do the work if you are hell bent on changing the fluid your self it is time to buy the chilton book from chapters indago it will detail the procedure to do the work just remember it is messy and a pain in the *** even the best of us hate to do on a good day
