How do I choose topics of expertise on Experts123?

Choose a topic that already exists when possible by choosing from the list of topics that appear as you type.  If the topic you want is not in the system, you may add it as a new topic. Please see How should topics be named on Experts123?

“I know about _______.”

Fill in the blank with a topic that you know a lot about. You may then add a description of what makes you knowledgeable about the topic.

Think Beyond Your Occupation

It may be tempting to simply put your occupation as your topic of expertise. For example, if you are a dentist, you may start typing “Dentist” and see the Experts123 topic “Dentists.” If you choose this topic it means that you know a lot about dentists. That may be true, and you are free to say so, but it may be more accurate and relevant for you to say that you know a lot about Dental Health. Try to choose topics that focus specifically on what you know best.
