It's based upon your style of bowling, what weight is perfect for you, aggressiveness of the coverstock/core combination, how long you have been bowling and what lane condition you regularly are bowling on. Also, practicing and trying to master your "form" is the best way to gain more experience and boost your skill in bowling. A good feel when getting fitted for a bowling ball is what you need when it gets drilled. Soft of rigid thumb slugs, thumb inserts and finger inserts are what most bowlers use instead of feeling the sometimes rough insides of the bowling ball without them. Some bowlers use wrist supports, but most that decide to stay bowling will purchase their own shoes and accessories as well as the required "first shot" and "spare" bowling balls.
