Clean the tiles thoroughly using a hard floor cleaner like flash. If they have been treated before, then AFTER cleaning, go over them with a mildly soapy liquid like washing up liquid and a touch of ammonia. If they have been been sealed in the past the ammonia will cause this to lift, so clean the residue carefully. (never mix ammonia with any other chemical) Finally, get a metalised floor polish, often called emulsion floor polish available from places like b&Q or any good tile shop. Take a bucket of warm water and a clean white rag to avoid colour run, then splash a little of the floor polish down and wipe it from right to left across the floor.
