How do I connect to the internet from my iPad?
All iPads support wireless connectivity using wi-fi. To connect to a wireless network, users need to click on the ‘Settings’ icon and either click on ‘Wi-Fi’ at the top left-hand side of the menu, or on ‘General from the left-hand side menu, and then ‘Network’ on the right-hand side of the screen. Clicking on ‘Network’ will then open another window, and user must then click on ‘Wi-Fi’. The iPad will then search for available networks. The user needs to select one, and enter the username or password (this will be issued by the wireless network provider). Some iPads also support connectivity using 3G. Users need to purchase a 3G sim from a phone provider. Again, from the ‘Settings’ menu, users can verify their 3G connectivity. Note, if a user is abroad, they will need to have Data Roaming enabled and be in an area with 3G connectivity available.
